The single was released on August 20, 1973 off their Goats Head Soup album and certified Gold by the RIAA on Nov. 15, 1973 for 500,000 copies sold. One of a long string of well known hits from the Stones' legendary career, "Angie" went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and in several other countries, #5 on the
