The massive 12,000 lbs. stump 30 ft. below the surface. According to a researcher that studies the Living Ancient Cypress on the Black River in North Carolina, this was a significant find. He encouraged us to send a small core sample of the center of the stump to get it radiocarbon dated. He also stated that this was an ancient forest
