They are made from Vivelle, which is a paper product made in Germany. It has been cut to size to fit into the outer U channel on the Jewelry Design Aid board, and the middle bead holding area as well. It provides a soft surface for beads and findings. Simply put the inserts in place (non sticky). They provide a nice color contrast to the boards. If it gets dirty,
