Pitot Tube, Japanese Naval Aviation P-80 The clock runs when woundThis is a fine example of a WWII era Pitot Tube used in the aircraft of the Japanese Navy as evidenced by the stamped anchor on the identification stamp. Mounted under the wing or on the fuselage, the tube provides air pressure measurement for pitot static instruments, such as the airspeed and rate of climb indicators. It is in exceptional condition given its age. Measures ~8 inches long and ~ 9 inches tall.
